[Bug 1389918] Re: redis28u fails to create /var/lib/redis
Hello Eric,
Thanks for taking the time to submit this bug. I am able to reproduce
this issue on RHEL 5 and 6. It is surprising that this did not get
caught earlier. I will work on getting this updated and hopefully have
updated packages in the testing repos tonight.

Title:
redis28u fails to create /var/lib/redis
Status in IUS Community Project:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Using redis28u-2.8.17-1.ius.el5.x86_64.rpm on RHEL5 it will install
fine but fail to start until you manually create /var/lib/redis and
chown accordingly.
Ideally this would be done in the install script portion of the RPM
since redis requires it by default for saves.
