it change anything?

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

  sky2 module is broken somehow

Bug description:
  When I unplug the wired ethernet connection, I receive kernel panic.
  When I suspend and resume the laptop, in case the ethernet cable was not plugged in when resuming, the ethernet connection is no longer present, neither in NetworkManager, nor in ifconfig nor ip a.
  The problem presists for at least 2 latest kernel releases.
