[Bug 1122590] Re: Wirless stops working after variable amount of time
Ben SK, as per
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+6+Series+Chipset+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+DH67BL
an update is available for your BIOS (0160). If you update to this, does
it change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Thank you for your understanding.
** Description changed:
- Hello,
-
- I've been able to replicate this issue with two different wireless
- cards, a PCI and a USB.
-
- The PCI card is: Rosewill N180PCe (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166063)
+ I've been able to replicate this issue with two different wireless cards: The PCI card is: Rosewill N180PCe (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166063)
And the USB is: Negear WG111 v2
- I've attached the following files:
- * Output of /var/log/syslog when the error happens
- * version.log
- * lspci-vnvn.log
+ I've attached the output of /var/log/syslog when the error happens.
When the issue happens, I'm disconnected from the AP, the password box
pop-ups for the AP, no matter how many times I re-enter the password it
will not connect, and the only way I can solve this is to restart the
machine.
This happened in both 12.04 and 12.10 (I upgraded hoping to fix this
issue).
