[Bug 1121350] Re: Wifi stopped working after upgrade.

Cut from Bug Description.

** Attachment added: "syslog"
   https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1121350/+attachment/3760739/+files/syslog

** Description changed:

  Hi,
My wifi connection has been working flawlessly for 2 years running first ubuntu 11.04 and gradually upgrading to 12.04. A few minutes ago the connection to my router suddenly stopped working after a restart (it had been connected right up until the restart). The network icon on top shows that it is trying to connect and after a while it stops and tells me I am disconnected. All other devices (3) connected to the router continue to access as usual so I do not think it has anything to do with the router itself. Also I found out that I have no problem connecting to the hotspot of my cell phone.

Also I have reinstalled my laptop and during installation the wifi is
present as wlan0 but after upgrade its changed to eth1.

Any ideas on what the problem might be? Tips on how to debug it?
Thank you for your time and help.

I solved this problem but this is not what I wanted.
Fail - I have reinstalled Ubuntu using the ISO (with selected 3rd party drivers) and during installation a wireless card is present as wlan0 but after upgrade its changed to eth1 and a network connection is lost.

Ok - I have reinstalled Ubuntu using the ISO and then upgraded using a
wired network instead of wireless, also the 3rd party drivers were not
selected. After the reboot, OS is able to connect to AP. At this moment
everything is working fine and a wireless card is present as wlan0.

- I think it is a bug.
-
- Thank you guys for your time and help.

Title:
14e4:4727 [HP ProBook 6360b] Wifi stopped working after upgrade.

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hi,
My wifi connection has been working flawlessly for 2 years running first ubuntu 11.04 and gradually upgrading to 12.04.

At this
moment everything is working fine and a wireless card is present as
  wlan0.
