  Wireless takes a lot longer to come up (BCM4313) since kernel update

Status in “bcmwl” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Been using 12.04 on this laptop for a while and the most recent Kernel
  update (3.2.0-24.37) now means it takes about a minute before the
  wireless turns on (AKA starts looking for access points and auto-
  connecting).

  Before, this would be happening as the laptop booted. The desktop
  would load and it would connect to our AP in just a few seconds.

  This might be a red-herring misfiling because bcmwl-kernel-source was
  also upgraded to 5.100.82.38+bdcom-0ubuntu6.1 but I didn't think it
  was used for the 4313. Please feel free to retag if I'm wrong.
