[Bug 1064520] Re: [Dell Inc. Inspiron 1012] suspend/resume failure [non-free: wl]

Manish-Raj, could you please confirm this issue exists with the latest
development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If the issue remains,
could you please run the following command in the development release
from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will
automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this
report:

apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number>

** Tags added: latest-bios-a12 needs-upstream-testing regression-
potential

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Incomplete

Title:
[Dell Inc. Inspiron 1012] suspend/resume failure [non-free: wl]

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I put my laptop on suspend state, closed the lid and left it for around
30 minutes. When I came back and opened the lid, i saw the cpu
activity indicator blinking indicating that its resuming but I was
having no display. The display refused to come no matter what I did (
inclusive for using ctrl+Alt+Function keys to go into terminal mode ).
So I had to force shutdown the system. This is the very first time I
am facing this problem on my laptop since Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
