Title:
BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 000000ffffff7ff9; RIP:
  0010:[<ffffffff8117b5ee>] [<ffffffff8117b5ee>]
  poll_freewait+0x8e/0xe0

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
What is expected to happen is when I login to gnome-shell, suspend to
RAM, resume, unlock the screen, then insert a CD into the internal
drive, view the CD with Nautilus, and it does not crash.

What happens instead is it does consistently.

I'm 3-for-3 in causing a failure this way. The first 2 times were
with the 3.0.0-23-generic #39 kernel, the 3rd time was with
3.0.0-22-generic #36, which displayed a series of "Bad page map"
errors in /var/log/syslog tied to Nautilus.

I'm only able to reproduce the problem with the GNOME session (GNOME
  shell).

The crash message varies. The first crash was:
unable to handle kernel paging request at 000000ffffff7ff9

with the process in question being gnome-shell. The second crash was:
nautilus: Corrupted page table at address 18012e8

WORKAROUND: I don't see the problem with Unity/Compiz. I tried once to
reproduce the crash using Unity on the 3.0.0-23-generic #39 kernel but
  did not have any problems.

WORKAROUND: Put the CD in the drive and mount it before suspending the
  computer.
