[Bug 1417729] Re: Via-Rhine onboard chip stop working and could not be reset.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.19 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Title:
Via-Rhine onboard chip stop working and could not be reset.

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The network quit to work after some time 30 minutes more or less and is impossible to restart the network or the via-rhine card with rmmod via-rhine and modprobe via-rhine.
  Feb 3 13:26:13 ubuntupc kernel: [ 6073.808195] via-rhine 0000:00:12.0 eth1: Transmit timed out, status 4003, PHY status 7849, resetting...

  Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
  3.13.0-45-generic
00:12.0 Ethernet controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT6102 [Rhine-II] (rev 7c)

I have tested start the kernel with noapic and noacpi options but after several minutes 30 or 45 minutes the USB devices (Mouse -usb genius- and Keyboard -Genius Kb12e ) stop working, so again I must restart the PC.
I think it is a bug related to Kernel. Could be Avahi or network-manager?
This is a long time bug.
