[Bug 1445179] Re: Trackpad not detected
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.0 kernel[0].
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.
If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.
If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".
Thanks in advance.

Title:
Trackpad not detected
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Using Acer C720. The model is PEPPY C5A-R3E-A7B. I installed ChrUbuntu
following these
instructions:https://www.linux.com/learn/tutorials/764181-how-to-
install-linux-on-an-acer-c720-chromebook
I cannot connect to the internet on the ubuntu computer, because of
not having a trackpad and thus cannot send a bug report through the
ubuntu-bug linux thing.
I followed this debugging guide:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection/evtest
and there is no input device called "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" or
anything like that.
