[Bug 1445179] [NEW] Trackpad not detected

Public bug reported:

Using Acer C720. The model is PEPPY C5A-R3E-A7B. I installed ChrUbuntu
following these
instructions:https://www.linux.com/learn/tutorials/764181-how-to-
install-linux-on-an-acer-c720-chromebook

I cannot connect to the internet on the ubuntu computer, because of not
having a trackpad and thus cannot send a bug report through the ubuntu-
bug linux thing.

I followed this debugging guide:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection/evtest

and there is no input device called "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" or
anything like that.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
