Message #116485
[Bug 1451996] [NEW] Vivid update to 3.19.6 stable release
Public bug reported:
SRU Justification
Impact:
The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar
in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to
demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream
by originating either directly from Linus' tree or in a minimally
backported form of that patch. The 3.19.6 upstream stable
patch set is now available. It should be included in the Ubuntu
kernel as well.
git://git.kernel.org/
TEST CASE: TBD
The following patches are in the 3.19.6 stable release:
Linux 3.19.6
fs: take i_mutex during prepare_binprm for set[ug]id executables
rtlwifi: rtl8192ee: Fix handling of new style descriptors
mm/hugetlb: take page table lock in follow_huge_pmd()
mm/hugetlb: reduce arch dependent code around follow_huge_*
staging: comedi: adv_pci1710: fix AI INSN_READ for non-zero channel
KVM: nVMX: mask unrestricted_guest if disabled on L0
tg3: Hold tp->lock before calling tg3_halt() from tg3_init_one()
usbnet: Fix tx_bytes statistic running backward in cdc_ncm
usbnet: Fix tx_packets stat for FLAG_MULTI_FRAME drivers
udptunnels: Call handle_offloads after inserting vlan tag.
skbuff: Do not scrub skb mark within the same name space
Revert "net: Reset secmark when scrubbing packet"
bpf: fix verifier memory corruption
bnx2x: Fix busy_poll vs netpoll
tcp: tcp_make_synack() should clear skb->tstamp
net/mlx4_core: Fix error message deprecation for ConnectX-2 cards
ipv6: protect skb->sk accesses from recursive dereference inside the stack
tcp: fix FRTO undo on cumulative ACK of SACKed range
xen-netfront: transmit fully GSO-sized packets
openvswitch: Return vport module ref before destruction
bonding: Bonding Overriding Configuration logic restored.
net: tcp6: fix double call of tcp_v6_fill_cb()
tun: return proper error code from tun_do_read
ipv6: Don't reduce hop limit for an interface
net/mlx4_en: Call register_netdevice in the proper location
rocker: handle non-bridge master change
tcp: prevent fetching dst twice in early demux code
