Hi,

in dmesg 3.16.0 starting at line 492 nouveau driver starts init and works ok
in dmesg 3.19.0 starting at line 500 nouveau driver starts init and then fails

the result is the system console does not work with new kernel.

the only printout on the screen is:
starting version 219


if I pass in yaboot the following parameters:
video=offb:off nouveau.modeset=0

then at least the system gets to the text console.

  After upgrading from 14.10 to 15.04 on my Powermac G5 Quad nouveau
  driver stopped working.
