[Bug 1427983] Re: tpm error displays on boot up

 

Ed Guenter, just to advise, installing a 3.18 kernel in 14.04 is not
supported.

However, if this is reproducible in a supported release (ex. live or installed environment of Vivid), it will help immensely if you filed a new report via a terminal:
ubuntu-bug linux

  I just installed ubuntu on a refurbished lenovo and got the error
  after a handful of reboots.

  - boot up sometimes fails
  - mouse/trackpad freezes
  - restart not working
