Title:
  Mousepad Not Working

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I have an HP Chromebook 14 in which I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 from a
Seagate 1TB External Hard Drive. I originally installed 12.04 and
updated to 14.04. At no point since I have done this has the stock
mousepad in the laptop worked, however a wired USB mouse works fine.
Please help me fix this! I need to have Ubuntu so that I can run
Photoshop and other software that I used to use on my last laptop. I
am a relatively inexperienced user of Ubuntu so I'll more than likely
need a step-by-step "for dummies" explanation too. Thanks in advance
  for any and all help!

I can't get any of the terminal commands below to work either. The
package name is unable to be located. The others just pop up as
  unknown commands.
