To correct my solution: it is special key    Fn + F7  which toggles touchpad.
Accidentally I must have pressed this sometime after installation.
I mixed it with Alt+F7 which enables graphical Desktop when I switched from console (Alt+F1 ... Alt+F6) to Desktop.

A linux shutdown and new start will not enable touchpad until Fn+F7 is pressed again!
A restart does not work on my netbook because it does shutdown only.

Please put this to netbook hardware hints for Acer Aspire E3-112.
Other users will enjoy not making my failure :-)

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  New installation with ubuntu 15.04.
  After some reboots the touchpad does not work.
  After reading some articles I upgraded with "sudo apt-get upgrade" - nothing better.
  Then I tried to reload following modules:   hid_multitouch, i2c_hid and psmouse   - nothing better.

  Don't know how to send you the bug report from this Acer netbook !
