[Bug 1509871] Re: Ubuntu Freezes occasionally
I can confirm, or at least is no longer freezing after several ours of work under the 4.3.0 rc6 mainline kernel. If this changes and hangs again I will post a re-tag the issue.
This is the only kernel I tried yesterday, as rc7 hasn't been compiled for amd64 yet.
If you want I can try kernels from the bottom up , to see in what
exactly version is fixed.
Thanks.

Title:
Ubuntu Freezes occasionally
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I have the same laptop model and this is the same problem as bug #1509723.
Acer ES1-311 latest 1.11 bios, Ubuntu Gnome 15.10.
The system literally freezes for no reason, is completely random, I
can't reproduce it twice doing the same thing, sometimes it hangs only
using firefox, other times with nautilus only open etc.
Let me know if you need me to post some more logs, and I'm I apologize
for pasting nonsense in the other bug, as I didn't know i have to
duplicate the issue to attach new logs.
Thanks in advance.
