[Bug 1226181] [NEW] package linux-headers-3.2.0-38-generic 3.2.0-38.60 failed to install/upgrade: failed to stat (dereference) existing symlink `/usr/src/linux-headers-3.2.0-38-generic/include/linux/pwm_backlight.h': Input/output error

This problem has existed for months.  I have tried it from both the
Update Manager and from the command line. Sample command line output:
