[Bug 1538710] Re: USB devices do not work after booting with mouse plugged on Dell desktop

 

Vagner, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect from kernel 3.13
to 4.5-rc1 in order to identify the last bad commit, followed
immediately by the first good one. Once this good commit has been
identified, it may be reviewed for backporting. Could you please do this
following

Please note, finding adjacent kernel versions is not fully commit
bisecting.

After the fix commit (not kernel version) has been identified, then
please mark this report Status Confirmed.

Bug description:
  After updating to Ubuntu 14.04 (from?) both the mouse and keyboard
  stopped working after boot. They don't work even if I unplug and plug
  them again.

  WORKAROUND: I unplug only the mouse before turning the machine on and
  plug it in when the system shows the login screen.
