Laurent Dinclaux, to advise, you don't need to apport-collect more than
once unless someone explicitly asks you to do so.

Despite this, the next step is to fully commit bisect from kernel 3.19
to 4.2 in order to identify the last good kernel commit, followed
immediately by the first bad one. This will allow for a more expedited
analysis of the root cause of your issue. Could you please do this

Please note, finding adjacent kernel versions is not fully commit
bisecting.

After the offending commit (not kernel version) has been identified,

Title:
  Brother Scanner do not work when USB ports are set to XHCI

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I own a Brother DCP-357C all-in-one printer and scanner.

  When the default mode for XHCI is set (smart auto) or if I set it to
  ENABLED, I can print on my printer but cannot scan.

  If I disable the XHCI mode, I can print and scan but I can't enjoy USB
  3.0 Superspeed transfers to my USB 3.0 drives and pen drive.

  The printer is connected using an USB2 cable. I tried a USB2 Hub with
  no success either.
