[Bug 1551357] Re: Shell Gnome crash when primary display is HDMI and lock screen.

Thank you Brad Figg (brad-figg).

I did run the command and it send the logs.

Now I check that this issue starts when I disconnect HDMI. If I block
GNOME session before that I disconnected HDMI the issue is not doing,
but I disconnected HDMI in any moment after start machine and the issue
is doing.

Thank you.

Title:
Shell Gnome crash when primary display is HDMI and lock screen.

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hi,

  I have the following issue:

When the additional display (connected by HDMI) is the primary, after
I blocked session the Gnome Shell is broken. I need restart Gnome
Shell and apply display configuration for establish the initial
configuration. When Gnome Shell is broked, the extension Panel-Docklet
  (v18) didn't work correctly.

If I only use the laptop display, the issue doesn't appear.

In the syslog I can see this issue recursively:

[drm:gen8_irq_handler [i915_bpo]] *ERROR* The master control interrupt
  lied (SDE)!

I'm not an linux expert and I don't know how I can see more logs. I
can do screenshots and send it to you if it can help you.
