[Bug 1542716] Re: touchpad not working after 14.04 installation
I tested all the upstream kernels from
linux-image-4.5.0-040500rc6-generic_4.5.0-040500rc6.201602281230_amd64.deb
to
linux-image-4.5.0-040500rc1-generic_4.5.0-040500rc1.201601241731_amd64.deb
and from them down to
linux-image-3.14.56-031456-generic_3.14.56-031456.201510262131_amd64.deb
the last did not allow the system to load properly and a reboot was needed
For each installation I checked with uname -r if the kernel had properly installed.
The problem persists.
I also re-checked with a live Windows 7 version if the touchpad did work under win7 and it did
I don't know if it can help. The driver under Windows 7 for the Lefebook S735 is FTS_SynapticsPointingDeviceDriver64bitedition_181225_1115887
