I have uploaded the information you requested. I have also been trying to
figure out why my driver for the touchpad isn't loaded, hoping that a
solution to the (un)loaded driver would be the solution to the bigger
problem. I haven't been able to find anything yet, but maybe that
information will help?
Anyway, if you have anything in mind that I can do to help I will gladly do
it, but until then I am at the end of my knowledge.

Bug description:
I installed the Ubuntu Base and Ubuntu Security updates one at a time
then I restarted my machine to see if each packet affected my
touchpad.. It wasn't until I installed the updated Linux Kernel Image
and supporting packets that the touchpad stopped working on restart.
