[Bug 1228554] Re: suspend/resume failure [non-free: nvidia]

So I tested

3.11 with noveau -> works
3.12 with noveau -> works
3.11 with nvidia -> works again, but screen doesn't turn off / blinking cursor
3.12 with nvidia -> does not install

Always, my fan doesn't turn off. I filed a bug for this some time ago:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/949039

** Summary changed:

- suspend/resume failure [non-free: nvidia]
+ Screen doesn't turn off on suspension [non-free: nvidia]

Title:
  Screen doesn't turn off on suspension [non-free: nvidia]

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When I try to suspend the machine it gets stuck at a tty with a
  blinking cursor. The machine doesnt react to any input and the only
  way to "resume" is to do a power reset.

  Supsend/Resum never worked good for me, but recently it doesn't work
  at all anymore.
