Message #17717
[Bug 1231383] [NEW] Hot plug/unplug of PCI devices does not work
Public bug reported:
I installed Ubuntu 13.10 (linux kernel 3.11.0-4-generic #9-Ubuntu-SMP i686) on a virtual machine on an VMware ESX server.
When I try to hot remove or hot add a networking NIC, it does not reflect in the system. lspci continues to show the old state and no logs appear in dmesg. Please let me know what information would be required to debug this further.
Thanks.
** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
