[Bug 496256] Re: 0421:0610 Nokia CS-15 USB modem does not work in Karmic - Raring depending on modem firmware
Hans Hellén, the next step is to bisect between Jaunty and Karmic, in
order to identify the commit that caused this regression. Could you
please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection
?
** Summary changed:
- Nokia CS-15 USB modem does not work anymore and can not be installed in Karmic, Natty, Precise, Raring somehow depending on modem firmware
+ 0421:0610 Nokia CS-15 USB modem does not work in Karmic - Raring depending on modem firmware

Title:
0421:0610 Nokia CS-15 USB modem does not work in Karmic - Raring
depending on modem firmware
Status in The Linux Kernel:
New
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
Installation done in Jaunty does not work anymore in Karmic. Also
installation (like in Jaunty) from a .deb file shipped within the USB
modem itself can not be done, because partition in the USB modem is
not mounted automatically and cannot be mounted via Nautilus. This
leaves user without internet connection.
