Title:
Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS 64bit is changing the Fn Keys Behavior from the
  BIOS

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
It looks like Ubuntu is changing the Fn Keys behavior from the BIOS passing my user and admin password.
When I set up Function Key Behavior - Function Key First after few or just restart and log in to Ubuntu the Behavior is changed to Multimedia Key First.

While I was using 9.10, 10.04 and 10.10 32bit and Win7 I never had this problem. It's appear after I installed ubuntu 10.04 64bit. (or at least I think so..)
  anyway
Can someone explain how is this possible, why and how can be stopped? For me it doesn't seem very reasonable and secure the OS to have ability/rights to change settings from the BIOS without my/your permission.
