Title:
[HP Elitebook 6930p] Soft block on bluetooth when wifi is unblocked
causes keyboard light to flicker
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Make sure hard block is disabled on both bluetooth and wifi, checking rfkill list
2.) Apply soft block to bluetooth 'rfkill block bluetooth'
3.) Watch the wireless key flicker like mad
Expected result:
Light doesn't flicker, should only turn off if both interfaces are off
Some more information:
This system has an onboard Intel Wifi card: Intel Corporation Ultimate
N WiFi Link 5300 and a BT module on the USB: Hewlett-Packard Wireless
(Bluetooth + WLAN) Interface [Integrated Module]
Soft blocking WiFi but not Bluetooth means the light stays on. Soft
blocking both means it turns off.
Originally noticed with -proposed kernel but checked with Natty
release kernel and still reproducible.
