  8086:2a42 No LCD backlight on notebook

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  After update to Natty, when the system boots, grub's menu is ok, but after, lcd is getting black (even in console and recovery mode).
  This bug occurs with kernel 2.6.38-8 (and also with proposed version : 2.6.38-9 - I tried), but not with last version : 2.6.35-28 !
  My fix :
  1- Boot with old kernel version (2.6.35-28)
  2- Add the line :
       setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=0
  to my /etc/rc.local (this puts the LCD backlight to Max, only in xorg).
  3- Reboot.
