[Bug 1248485] Re: No wireless connection after updates 12.04LTS
It's critical that you continue to install updates, otherwise you will
not receive fixes for security issues. Updates will not install new
packages like the one that was causing you problems.
As for the oem-wireless-rt2x00-1044172 package, I have no idea where you
got that package from. I don't see it in the Ubuntu archives, so it
wouldn't have been installed automatically. Wherever it came from, now
that it is removed it should not cause you any more problems.

Bug description:
I am using HP "all in one" with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS installed. Following
the last update, my wireless network connection is lost. I have both
wired and wireless connection if I boot with older version 3.2.032,
but with new version 3.2.055 after update I only have wired
connection, but no wireless connection.

I have 2 versions on my front logon screen.
One is linux 3.2.055 and the other is 3.2.032 The default is 3.2.055
on boot up I can get a wired connection but no wireless connection.
If I boot on 3.2.032 I can get both a wired, and wireless connection.
Many thanks for any help.......(New to Ubuntu)
