Message #30289
[Bug 1253182] [NEW] [Sony VAIO SVT1313V1ES] USB 2.0 port not working
Public bug reported:
The Sony VAIO SVT1313V1ES laptop has a single USB 2.0 port and a single
USB 3.0 port.
Tested booting Saucy as a live image on a USB device. When booting the
live image, if the USB device is in the USB 2.0 port the boot process
will proceed past GRUB. Switching the USB device to the USB 3.0 port
will allow the boot to proceed to the desktop.
Tested with Saucy installed to disk.
Tested with amd64 kernel from: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v3.12-saucy/
Events were monitored using the 'udevadm monitor' command. In all cases
inserting and removing a variety of USB 2.0 storage devices into the USB
2.0 port did not result in any events. Plugging same devices into the
USB 3.0 port generated events.
