[Bug 1178545] Re: Wireless Card - Ralink RT5390 [1814:5390] does not work properly with Network manager

Po-Hsu Lin, as per http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/X55A/#support an update is available for your BIOS (417). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
  Wireless Card - Ralink RT5390 [1814:5390] does not work properly with
  Network manager

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  CID: 201206-11376 Asus X55A (wireless card: Ralink RT5390)

  The network manager does not work properly on this system.

  The wireless is set to disabled after boot (soft blocked: yes), the
  "Enable Wireless" option is available, enable it will bring the
  wireless on, and will allow you to connect to wireless APs.

  Yet the "Enable Wireless" option itself remain available and not
  ticked.

  Click on that option again will bring wireless to off.
  Do it again, this time, no wireless APs available.
