[Bug 1261123] Re: Lenovo x121e: trackpoint and buttons sometimes not working

Borim, , as per http://download.lenovo.com/express/ddfm.html an update is available for your BIOS (1.17). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

- After reboot the trackpoint and buttons of the touchpad are not working.
- Just the touchpad itself can be used to move the pointer. Reloading the
- psmouse module fix the problem. Until some reboots later the buttons and
- trackpoint do not working again.

- This bug is related to Bug #986942
- As multiple reporters are requested to open new bug reports, after stated that the bug still exists. I do this too.
- 
- When you run the command 'dmesg | grep psmouse' after bootup you can see following difference:
- Without working buttons you only see:
