[Bug 1261123] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad X121e] Trackpoint and buttons sometimes not working
I tried different approaches to update the bios of my x121e. But neither running the exe from lenovo under freeDos, nor the booting the iso image from usb stick worked.
The recommended way from lenovo to burn the iso on a CD and use it to boot is not a option for me. The x121e does not have a optical drive and I wont buy a external drive just for updating the bios.
A crazy idea is to run the update exe under wine, but the risk to end with a unbootable notebook is too high for me.
So I will stay to the current bios version :-/

Bug description:
After reboot the trackpoint and buttons of the touchpad are not working. Just the touchpad itself can be used to move the pointer. Until some reboots later the buttons and trackpoint do not working again. When you run the command 'dmesg | grep psmouse' after bootup Without working buttons you only see:
