Bug description:
What happens:
Under Ubuntu 12.04, the system's power consumption is around 32 Watts idle, which is unbelievably high compared to the 12 Watts consumed by Ubuntu 10.04. I believe this could be a kernel problem.
What should happen:
The system's total consumption should be around 12 Watts.
Software:
- Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
- fresh install
Kernels I've tested are all affected:
- 3.1.5
- 3.2.0
- 3.2.5
- 3.3.3
- 3.3.4
- 3.4.0-rc4
Hardware:
- HP nc6320
- Intel Core Duo T2300
- Intel Graphics 945GM
