Message #46631
[Bug 1284495] [NEW] "Save to X Configuration File" doesn't work on empty/nonexisting file
Public bug reported:
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 dev with nvidia-settings 331.20-0ubuntu8. On
opening nvidia-settings and trying to save a X configuration file with
"X Server Display Configuration" -> "Save to X Configuration File" it is
not possible to save the content if the given path doesn't exist or if
the file the path is poiting to is empty. I'm getting just this error:
"Unable to open X config file '/home/sworddragon/tmp/xorg.conf' for
writing."
** Affects: nvidia-settings (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
