[Bug 1295998] Re: linux-generic (and dependencies) is not automatically installed
The system would not boot at all without the kernel(linux-generic)
package. However, you attached a dmesg log and uname -a output that
would indicate you have the 3.13.0-19-generic kernel installed.

Bug description:
I installed 2 machine with Trusty.
Athlon X2 64:
Installation on a different partition than 13.10, no linux-generic package
Phenom II X4:
Through installation i formated all partitions, no linux-generic package.
My Notebook with 32 bit Edubuntu has it installed.
