[Bug 1304158] Re: [LENOVO 20216] suspend/resume failure

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.14 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Title:
  [LENOVO 20216] suspend/resume failure

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Since upgrading to 14.04 the system does not seem to properly
suspend/resume when closing the lid on my Lenovo Y410p laptop. It
sounded like the fan went off when I closed the lid (I checked
carefully) so I put it away in my pack, an hour later it came out
toasty hot, obviously it had been running. I was on 13.10 previously
and only occasionally had situations where it didn't properly suspend
when closing the lid. This seems to be very repeatable.
