[Bug 1258996] Re: [MSI GE60] Black screen in live cd

Krzysztof Waszak, with http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/
could you please provide the missing information following
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelBoot ?

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: Expired => Confirmed

** Description changed:

- On Msi GE60 and propably other notebooks with powerfull gpu. When you want to install in UEFI/Legacy linux you will get blackscreen. The only workaround is for PC because you can disconnect GPU.
- It is impossible to solve this for netbooks(laptops).
- It is bug which works also on other distro like Debian etc.
- The only distro which works is arch. The bug is connected propably with that GPU is taking too much power and screen freeze. When you chose any opition from live cd.
+ On my MSI GE60 when I want to install in UEFI/Legacy linux I get a
+ blackscreen. It is bug which works also on other distro like Debian etc.
+ The only distro which works is arch.
