Well the problem is, it does never boot. However i will try to boot via
USB but when i tried it before it happened that the booting process from
USB stopped at the same point as the regular system as i mentioned in my
original post.

Title:
[Acer Travelmate 5740G] bus cycle unavailable

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I have Problems when i boot my Laptop with Ubuntu 14.04. The same Problem occured on older Ubuntu Versions (12.04 to 14.04) as well as on Kubuntu and other Ubuntu derivates (e.g. Mint). When i first installed Ubuntu it worked perfectly fine for 1 or two days, but then it refuses to boot. If i try to boot from USB as well as from HDD in rescure mod, it shows:
  "
[0.345596] perf_event_intel : CPUID marked event: 'bus cycles' unavailable

  "

these are only the last lines, the others seem irrelevant to me.
  I use a Intel Core i 5 430M, 4GB RAM with an ATI mobility radeon HD5650
  It's a Acer Travelmate 5740G
It has a different HDD (not sure which i put in it) and i upgraded the BIOS which is now an InsydeH2O V1.23.

  Thanks for your help.
