[Bug 1357232] Re: linux-image-3.13.0-34-generic renders Asus K52N unbootable

Upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04, formatted and reinstalled 14.04, restored from
backup, installed NVidia drivers and Gnome3. Everything finally working,
then did the 3.13.0-34 update.

Screen flashes in graphics mode light, dark a few times. Returned to
text mode, blank cursor top-left - sometimes white, sometimes orange.
TTy terminals available. Rebooting with 3.13.0.32 doesn't help.

Reinstalled without reformatting. No input devices available -
keyboard/mouse light up but do nothing. 3.13.0.32 works but haven't
installed anything special yet.

I just upgraded to latest released kernel for trusty and a K52N Asus
laptop is unable to boot anymore: kernel crashes at startup.

I attach the output of lspci -vnvn

(I had to boot with linux-image-3.13.0-32-generic to use the system
