  'make install' fails with recent 3.16-rc kernels

Bug description:
  make install fails on ppc64le (maybe on ARCH=powerpc generally) on
  recent, mainline 3.16-rc source.

  Utopic (14.10) will be based on the 3.16 kernel and  will likely need
  a patch for this problem.

  The patch is now in the powerpc next tree:
