Title:
Failed to copy file from mobile phone via Bluetooth on 14.04

Status in HWE Next Project:
  New
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
File copy from a mobile phone will fail with "Another operation in
  progress" error mesage.

This issue could be found on several Bluetooth adapters (Intel 07dc, Atheros 0036) on 14.04
So I think this might be less hardware-related.

Bluetooth works fine with Bluetooth headsets, keyboard, mouse and file
browsing, but not file transfer from the mobile phone.

  Test cases:
  1. (Failed) Download files from mobile phone
Steps: select "Browse files..." to open the remote directory, try to download some files with Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v
Outcome: Failed with "Another operation in progress" error mesage, if the file is big (e.g. 500 KB), you will see the progress bar stuck on the mobile phone. Otherwise if the selected file is smaill (e.g. 10KB), you will still see that error message on the laptop, but a "job done" notification on the mobile phone.

  2. (Passed) Download / upload files from and to another laptop (Lenovo X230 with BT4.0)
Steps: select "Browse files..." to open the remote directory, try to download / upload some files with Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v
Outcome: File upload / download works as expected.

  3. (Passed) Upload files to mobile phone
Steps: select "Browse files..." to open the remote directory, try to upload some files with Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v. Or use the "Send files..." option to upload a file.
  Outcome: Both method works fine.

  Tested with Sony Ericsson K530i / C510
