Title:
[i915_bdw] GPU hang bug, typo fix
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in “linux” source package in Trusty:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
With the current kernel there's a way to make the GPU hang:
- suspend from login screen
- resume
-> GPU is non-fatally hung, until logging in essentially hangs the machine since Unity fails to fully start
upstream commit 6689c167ae14c312972e fixed it, the original non-
rebased version from intel-gfx@ list was backported because it was
easier.
Also, commit fa008cd37392160f9 was cleanly cherry-picked and contained
a function argument type which doesn't exist on our kernel. It needs
to be renamed back to what it used to be and still is on our kernel.
This caused compiler warnings that had gone unnoticed until now.
