install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script
returned error exit status 2

Bug description:
Was upgrading an old work computer using the steps in
http://askubuntu.com/questions/91815/how-to-install-software-or-upgrade-from-an-old-unsupported-release
And at the same time I was editing a picture in Gimp
Then the computer crashed and all hell broke loose with fire bats and jazz flying into the office to laugh at me and my puny tower
