Bug description:
i've just upgraded to 14.10, and i see that linux-image-generic now
lists thermald as a dependency. is this really a genuine requirement
now, that without which a computer cannot be used?

can this be listed as a recommended or suggested dependency instead,
so that it is not forced to be installed on computers which have no
  use for it?
