[Bug 1388335] [NEW] Touchpad not deteted at all on 'Gigabyte M1405' notebook

Public bug reported:

My touchpad does not appear in the list when i run "cat
/proc/bus/input/devices". This is a brand new installation on this
notebook, Ubuntu has never been installed or operated before.

An external USB mouse works when it is connected (and is visible with
the above terminal command). The touchpad remains dead.

The touchpad works in windows 7 (dual boot system).

Using the instructions at
"https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection";, I have attached
the ~/dmesg, ~/devices and the /var/log/Xorg.0.log

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Attachment added: "~/dmesg, ~/devices and the /var/log/Xorg.0.log files"
