[Bug 1388310] Re: [Asus EeePC 1215B] Doesn't (re)boot after suspend-resume.

 

I'm sorry. I don't clearly remember that in prior Trusty release.
In EeePC 1215B, because in many cases that can’t resume after suspend, I had to not use the suspend-resume.
If Wifi off then suspend-resume is usable in stable and this problem was discovered.
If necessary, free space is in the HDD to new Ubuntu installation.

I was sampling debugging information on 3.18.0-031800rc3-generic .
"cat /proc/acpi/wakeup" is no diffrence of GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="acpi=noirq" and GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="" .

Bug description:
  I have this problem on Asus EeePC 1215B Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS. How to reproduce problem.
  1. Start Ubuntu
  2. Suspend and resume.
  3. Reboot computer.
  Result is normally BIOS check screen first, next display black screen and left top blinking cursor, few minute wait display message "Reboot and Select proper Boot device". grub menu screen is not displayed.

  For nomally start Ubuntu,
  1. Unplug AC cord.
  2. Wait few seconds.
  3. Plug AC cord.
  4. Push power button.

  WORKAROUND: Adding the following to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX= line in file /etc/default/grub for now the problem has been resolved:
