Title:
  mouse and keyboard don't work [i8042]

Status in elementary OS:

Bug description:
  System is an Asus EeePC 1225B. Upon booting the live usb disk,
  touchpad and keyboard don't work. Can't do anything.

  Shut down and plug usb mouse. Boot usb disk again and the external usb
  mouse works (touchpad and keyboard still no go). I start the OS
  instalation setup and surprise surprise, both touchpad and keyboard
  start to work. I unplug the usb mouse and everything continues to
  work. Setup is completed, reboots system, everything is fine.
