Title:
  Cannot mount Canon EOS 400D via USB 3.0

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I bought a Dell XPS Developer Edition recently and tried mounting my
  Canon EOS 400D. It failed:

  Error dialog:
  "Unable to mount Canon Digital Camera"
  "Error initializing camera: -1: Unspecified error"

  Google and launchpad leads nowhere, except the workaround "Use USB
  2.0", which I do not have available.

  Other devices, mouse, keyboard, kensington usb dock and the iPhone
  (partial, cannot browse files like I used to), seems to work OK.

  $ uname -r
  3.11.0-031100-generic

  I installed 3.11 for workgroups because I read somewhere that Linux 3.9 would deal with this. 3.11 behaves exactly like the stock 13.04 kernel.
