[Bug 1395284] Re: Unstable wireless connections with 802.11n and kernel 3.16

Giovanni: New firmware for your wireless hardware was released recently
to address a number of problems. Please ensure your system is fully up
to date, reboot, and see if there's any improvement in your wireless
connections. Thanks!

Title:
Unstable wireless connections with 802.11n and kernel 3.16

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Using kernel 3.16 the wireless connections on 802.11n networks are
very unstable and they fail after few minutes. Even if the
NetworkManager says that it is still connected, nothing works and I
have to manually disconnect and re-connect.

The problem was not present in in Ubuntu 14.04 and seems to be
resolved in 3.18-rc5, even if in this case the connections seem to be
  slower (but stable).

  WORKAROUND: Use 802.11g.
